Purple and Grey Bridal Shower

Purple and Grey Bridal Shower
Bridal Showers are so fun to plan and even more fun when you get PAID to plan it!  I was hired to design a purple and grey bridal shower which took place this past Saturday.  I designed everything from the invitation to the dessert table.
I choose a “Love Blooms” theme and carried this through the bridal shower starting with the blooms on the invitation to the rose petal monogram “F” on the welcome table.
Yard signs lined the driveway and sidewalk leading up to the house where the bridal shower was held.  Each yard sign was tied with a grey, purple, and tulle ribbon.
Purple rose petals lined the entrance to the house and a handmade wreath hung on the door.
I spray painted a grapevine wreath, wrapped it in white tulle, and glued silk flowers I made from satin fabric onto the lower right hand side of the wreath.  A small sign on top read, “Emily’s Bridal Shower.”
My bar cart served as a welcome table.  I took a canvas that I spray painted and then glued rose petals onto it to form an “F” for the brides soon to be last name.
Guests were greeted with small cards and were asked to write some marriage advice for the bride.
I made this guest book and inside there was a place for the invitation, cards, photographs, and gift list.  It is a gift for the bride!  A place to store all of her memories from the bridal shower and something she’ll keep forever.
An easy style tip is to take the full length mirror out of your bedroom, lay it on it’s back, and fill it with flowers and candles!  Easy and gorgeous.
Dining tables were covered in purple tablecloths, mirror tiles served as place mats and my client’s fine china was a fabulous touch!  I laid a grey table runner down the middle and topped with a small purple rose flower arrangement, rose petals and candles.
Each centerpiece was wrapped in a grey ribbon and was accented with a small square that read, “Emily’s Bridal Shower.”
Purple napkins were wrapped in handmade napkin rings that matched the centerpiece.
My client had these great clear serving dispensers!  In between I set out clear plastic cups with custom stickers on them and grey/white paper straws.  I don’t know why but adding a paper straw is such a fun touch!
For the dessert table backdrop I took silver frames and glued squares of purple ruffled fabric in them.  The dessert stands were easily made by setting mirror tiles onto silver candlesticks.  I used some sticky tack to make sure they stayed in place.
Butter Cream Bling knocked it out of the park with these gorgeous glitter cake balls!
Monogrammed cookies from MiniME Bakery tasted as good as they looked!
And my 3rd dessert never arrived…sniff…sniff…so I whipped up some purple chocolate covered marshmallows and popped them onto some left over paper straws.  Nobody knew the difference except for my client!  She was happy with these though…whew : )
Purple gumballs, candy sticks, rock candy, and grey sixlets rounded out the table.
I was not there for the entire bridal shower to get pictures of the food setup and people enjoying the desserts.  I really had fun with the planning and preparation for this bridal shower.  My favorite part is always the set up though.  Seeing my vision come to life is always a thrill.
